This is a fully assembled hub & drum kit for Dexter-style 9,000–10,000 lb General Duty axles built after July 2009 — the redesigned two-piece hub system that replaced the older 8-415 one-piece casting. Everything needed is in the box, so there’s no separate bearing or seal purchase required.

This two-piece hub and drum works as a direct replacement for the one-piece 8-415-2 hub and drum used between mid-2009 and 2013, and this same two-piece design became standard on Dexter axles built after April 2013. Both the inner race and outer race come pre-pressed into the hub, so there’s no need to press your own — you also get the oil seal, bearings, oil cap, wheel nuts, and retaining ring in the box. Each hub carries a 5,000 lb capacity, built around a 9-10K General Duty axle spindle.

Fitment Note: In 2009, Dexter significantly changed the design of 9,000 and 10,000 lb General Duty axles — hubs and drums made before that date will not interchange with 2009-and-later axles. This kit is for the post-2009 style only. If your axle is older, check our listing for the earlier-style hub/drum kit instead. A drum matching this kit will typically have “9-123” cast into it.
